I only made contact with Mr Aston on a handful of occasions when he came into the shop I work in and he made himself known to me . Though the conversations were brief and few they were none the less engaging interesting and companionable giving me a glimpse of a man others knew so well. Some people enter our lives momentarily but those few special moments become a privilege. Thoughts and condolences go out to Mrs Aston Diane and Paul. ‘The gates of memory never close’
